![]() I’m streaming with a Bluesound Node 2i which feels far more modern, like moving from a Creative Labs MP3 player to an iPod. If you want Wifi, you need a Wifi extender with a network socket. I have an odd shaped front room and do wonder if the Dirac could make a difference to this. It has HDMI so you can also use a Chromecast for streaming. Id prob get ballpark 550-600 for mine (A39) which makes little odds at that price as not huge contribution. Spotify Connect is present but it doesn’t have Tidal through the app (no airable streaming, as Arcam calls it). The MusicLife app streams well from a disc on my network but it only streams BBC radio in low bitrate. ![]() We have wooden floors and a glass roof so our problems may be worse than others. ![]() I did have another Arcam amp before this as well as some big class D amps and around 80% of the positive difference was the Dirac (you can switch it in and out). I haven’t heard the A39 but the Dirac has been a revelation in my very problematic room which has an upper bass suck out and a lower bass node. PARTNER WITH ARCAM AV860 4,000 WE SAY: A reference-level preamp/processor that sounds sublime, but you need to invest time (or maybe pay someone else) to get it setup correctly.
